golden jubilee

good to see a forum finaly opened.

i was thinking about getting a golden jubilee cross stitch kit so that i could stitch it and give it to my grandmother on the 1st of june (her birthday), but i don't know how long it will take a) to stitch and b) to arrive once i've ordered it?

can anybody advise? i'm looking at k4659 which is about 8 pounds.

i'm reasonably new to this but this will be my third kit and i think i'm quite a quick stitcher, just worried about all the detail..

please advise me!!!!!! :eek:

Hi Maggie,

We have one of those kits left in stock at the moment, but we will be getting more in a few days. So, to answer your question about delivery time, you could possibly have it in time for this weekend, but we couldn't guarantee it.

If you want to check if it's still in stock, you can give Lynne a call in our sales department tomorrow on 01522 888627 or order online and include a note stating that you only want it if we can get it quickly. - Include a contact number and someone will call you if there are any problems.

The time it takes to do a cross-stitch kit like this could vary enormously depending on you really. I've spoken to some customers who get through a couple of kits a week, and others who average 1 a month.

I'm sure we could have the kit to you by Monday at the latest even if there's none left in our warehouse tomorrow morning.

All I can suggest is that you try and work out how much spare time you will have next week to devote to it! - There's nothing worse than having to rush a cross-stitch.

thanks for a speedy reply! i've decided to give it a go, just ordered it now. like you said, i added a note to say i only want it if i can have it this week.

i think i will have just about enough time this weekend and next week to get it done in time.

i'm very excited now, i really hope you still have it.
