Hi all

new to this chat thing but am a full time mum and I am on the look out for earning extra cash and what better way than making cross stich gifts to sell at the school xmas fair. I need to ask if anyone knows if you are allowed to stitch and sell the patterns you find in the cross stitch magazines or whether there are any copyright free patterns that you can get hold of from somewhere.

I need to get sttiching now so that I have enough to sell when the time comes.

Will be grateful of any help or leads as in what to do next or where to go.

take care speak again soon.

hi San

I know im late for the xmas fair but maybe go for the easter one.

I have just read about this this week in cross-stitch magazine.

It states that you are not allowed to sell the designs for personal gain because of the copyright law BUT you can charge for your time stitching them.

So if you do not charge for the design you are ok charging for the time you spent stitching them.

Dosent make sence to me you are still sellling them and I hope you manage to make lots of dosh for your kiddies school.

Happy stitching

Julie
